Milford Man Arrested On Drug Charges In Stamford Parking Lot STAMFORD, Conn. — A Milford man told officers he was in a parking lot known for its crime and drug dealing late Monday night to visit a friend, police said. But when officers asked Shawn Robert Miller, 34, of 29 Westwood Road, the name of his friend, he couldn't up with it, police said. Officers ended up arresting him on a pair of drug charges: possession of narcotics and possession of drug paraphernalia. Police: Manchester Man Sideswipes Stamford Cop's Car, Then Flees STAMFORD, Conn. — A Manchester man probably couldn't have picked a worse person to sideswipe after running into a Stamford police officer's personal vehicle while the officer was on the way to work Monday morning, police said. Police said that Levonne Arthur Evans, 33, of 246 W. Center St., was driving south on Long Ridge Road at 7:20 a.m. when he moved across two lanes and sideswiped the personal car of an unnamed Stamford Police officer near Cold Spring Road, police said. Police: Man Points Gun At Another Driver On Stamford Streets STAMFORD, Conn. -- As a woman drove to a gas station near I-95's Exit 9 on East Main Street in Stamford, she noticed a vehicle with no headlights on tailgating her around 12:30 a.m. Monday, police said. She pulled over to let the driver go by, but instead he pulled up beside her and pointed a handgun at her, police said. Wilton Man Tried To Bribe Town Official, Police Say WILTON, Conn. -- A Wilton man tried to bribe the town's Director of Environmental Affairs to remove a bond on his home, according to Wilton Police, who charged him with bribery. Ioannis Papakosmas, 42, of 103 Twin Oak Lane, was arrested on Feb. 28 and released after posting a $1,000 bond. His next scheduled court date is on Friday. Police said the town's Inland Wetland Commission is holding a corrective action wetland permit on Papakosmas' property. Monroe Police Seek Two In Gas Station Robbery MONROE, Conn. -- Monroe Police are looking for two suspects in a robbery at the Henny Penny Gas Station early Friday morning. Two suspects entered the Roosevelt Drive gas station just before 12:30 a.m. and had a physical altercation with the store clerk before fleeing the scene in a silver four door sedan that may be a Ford 500, police said. New Canaan Man Charged With Not Reporting Car Crash NEW CANAAN, Conn. -- A New Canaan man told police he lost control of his vehicle after swerving to avoid a deer Sunday night but police still arrested him. Police said around 8:30p.m. they were dispatched to a single motor vehicle crash on Valley Road near Colonial Road. Stamford Police Make Second Arrest In January Attempted Murder STAMFORD, Conn. — Police have arrested a second man in a January attempted murder in Stamford and said they are relieved to have wrapped up a crime spree involving a number of individuals in Fairfield County. A Norwalk man tried to slip his crack cocaine into the vents on a police cruiser's hood after an officer has detained him Thursday evening, police said. Norwalk Police Nab 51-Year-Old Man On Heroin Dealing Charges NORWALK, Conn. — Norwalk police who were tracking a man they suspected would be involved in a heroin sale sprang a trap, nabbing him and a female accomplice.
