Norwalk Police Charge Man In Pair of October Burglaries NORWALK, Conn. -- A man wanted in connection with a pair of Oct. 30 burglaries in Norwalk was arrested when he appeared in court on unrelated charges on Thursday, police said. Norwalk Wheels Bus Driver Cited After Collision With Pedestrian NORWALK, Conn. — The driver of a Norwalk Wheels bus was cited for failure to grant right of way after hitting a male pedestrian at about noontime Friday on Wall Street, Norwalk Police said. The accident took place on Wall Street at River Street as the bus driver was making a left turn onto River Street, police said. The pedestrian, who was in the crosswalk, suffered non-life-threatening injuries, police said.

Darien Police Say Man Has Hit Liquor Store Three Times In Three Months DARIEN, Conn. -- This is a repeat customer that no store wants. For the third time in less than three months, a heavy-set white man has burglarized Frate's Wines & Liquors at 1937 Post Road, Darien Police said. Stamford Cops Charge Man With Sexual Assault Of Young Female Relative STAMFORD, Conn. — A Stamford man who was scheduled for an immigration hearing Thursday was arrested late Wednesday after he sexually assaulted a young female relative, Stamford Police said. North Stamford Man Facing 15 New Bomb-Making Charges, Police Say STAMFORD, Conn. — A North Stamford man who had already been arrested on weapons and drugs charges is facing multiple charges of manufacturing bombs due to the discovery of grenades and IEDs in his home, police said. New Canaan Man Facing Assault Charge In Domestic Dispute NEW CANAAN, Conn. -- A New Canaan man is facing charges in connection with a Tuesday domestic assault, police said. Frank C. Mercede, 55, of 866 Smith Ridge Road, was charged with third-degree assault and disorderly conduct in the incident, police said. Police said they were contacted on Wednesday about a dispute that had occurred the day before. Mercede surrendered to police Tuesday morning after learning that police had a warrant for his arrest.
