Redding Couple Facing Charges In Dispute With Stamford Contractor STAMFORD, Conn. -- Confronting a Stamford contractor over a missing computer ended badly for a Redding couple, who were arrested in events arising out of the confrontation, Stamford Police said. Elizabeth Blair Quinn, 51, of 7 Sport Hill Road and her fiancé, James Joseph Roche, 51, of the same address, went to a Stamford residence Monday evening to speak with a man who had done work for them, police said. Wilton Cops: California Man Used Stolen Mail To Commit Identity Theft WILTON, Conn. -- Wilton Police said a town resident helped lead them to the capture of a California man on identity theft charges on Thursday. Elijah Jamel Chin, 26, of 1281 W. Rosecrans Ave., Gardena, Calif., was charged with attempted trafficking in personal identification information, sixth-degree larceny, third-degree identity theft, and possession of less than one half ounce of marijuana. New Canaan Man Arrested As Fugitive From Justice In New York State NEW CANAAN, Conn. -- A New Canaan man was arrested as a fugitive from justice Friday evening, New Canaan Police said. The New York State Attorney General's office contacted New Canaan Police at 7:49 p.m. seeking the arrest of Stuart Alexander Bannatyne, 48, of 231 Jelliff Road on an active and extraditable warrant out of the Oneida County, N.Y., office of the New York State Attorney General. Pound Ridge Man Charged With Stealing Pricey New Canaan Shotgun NEW CANAAN, Conn. -- A Pound Ridge man stole a $7,650 shotgun from a barn on a Father Peter's Lane property, New Canaan Police said. Matthew R. Blasco, 22, of 68 Westchester Ave., Apt. C., turned himself into police Saturday afternoon in connection with the Nov. 5 theft. Stamford Police Arrest Notorious High-End Car Thief In Two-Decade-Old Case STAMFORD, Conn. -- A smooth-talking car thief who specialized in stealing high-end cars has been charged by Stamford Police in connection with the 1998 theft of an expensive Porsche 911 that he had taken on a test drive from a Greenwich dealership. Wilton Police Release Photos of Bank Robbery Suspect WILTON, Conn. -- Wilton Police have released photos of the bank robber who escaped with an undisclosed amount of cash from the Fairfield County Bank just before 3 p.m. Friday. Wilton Police said the suspect is believed to be a white male between 5 feet 8 inches and 5 feet 10 inches tall, and was driving a 1997 green Honda Accord. Combative Easton Man Charged After Spitting On EMT EASTON, Conn. -- An Easton man turned himself in Saturday after learning police had a warrant for his arrest in connection with a January 20 incident in which he spat on an EMT employee as he was being restrained.
