Overturned Truck Shuts Down Highway Ramp In Northampton County: PSP (Updated) Update: The ramp has since reopened, troopers said.  Crews are at the scene of an accident involving an overturned tractor-trailer on Wednesday, April 3, according to troopers.  Troop M's Nathan Branosky said the truck flipped on the ramp from Route 33 southbound to Interstate 78 eastbound in Lower Saucon. Drivers on Route 33 south are being detoured onto I-78's westbound lanes, state police said.  The ramp was still closed while first responders worked the scene around noon, Branosky said.

Tractor-Trailer Rollover Crash On I-81 Clears: PennDOT A tractor-trailer crash caused miles of delays on Interstate 81, Pennsylvania Department of Transportation officials told Daily Voice on Tuesday, April 2. The tractor-trailer rolled over after it crashed at mile marker 93.5 on I-81 northbound at 1 p.m. on April 2, PennDOT spokesperson Fritzi Schreffler explained.  Traffic was diverted starting at Exit 90: PA 72 - LEBANON and all lanes were closed through Exit 100: PA 443 - PINE GROVE.  There is no word from the scene about any injuries, and it is unknown what was in the trailer. The roadway reopened at 5 p.m.

Sinkhole, PennDOT Says The Main Street sinkhole in Palmer Township is expected to be repaired by next week, according to transportation authorities.  Officials had previously hoped to patch the hole by Friday, March 29, but "inclement weather has extended the timeline," a PennDOT spokesperson said Thursday.  "Crews continue to pour concrete into the sinkhole," said district press officer Ron Young. Car Crashes Into Gas Pump In Lansdale: Police Police are investigating a single-car crash in Lansdale on Wednesday night, March 28, authorities say.  It happened on the 200 block of North Broad Street around 9 p.m., police said in a release. A BMW-550 was heading north and tried to pass another car on the left but lost control and struck a gas pump at the 291 N. Broad St. Sunoco, officials said.  The car was severely damaged but no injuries were reported, according to the release.  The Fairmount Fire Company assisted at the scene, police added.

Sinkhole Opens Up In Palmer Township, Officials Say Crews are at the scene of a sinkhole in Palmer Township on Wednesday morning, March 27, PennDOT says.  The sinkhole opened up on Tuesday, March 26 in the same spot where one was repaired on the Main Street shoulder last week, a spokesperson said. The current sinkhole is in the eastbound lanes.  "Action has been taken to mobilize equipment, prepare blacktop, and get flowable fill," said PennDOT's Ron Young.  "Some equipment is already on site and repairs are underway this morning."

Victim ID'd In Deadly Palmer Twp. Crash The Northampton County Coroner's Office has named the 77-year-old woman who died in a Palmer Township crash on Thursday, March 21.  Linda J. Koy of Williams Township died from blunt force injuries, said Coroner Zachary Lysek in a release. The manner of death was accidental.  The crash happened near the intersection of Van Buren and Lower Way roads, police said Thursday. Van Buren Road was shut down while crews worked the scene.  Koy was taken to St. Luke's Hospital, Anderson Campus where she died from her injuries, the Coroner's Office said.
