RIDGEFIELD, Conn. – The mother of the 15-month-old Ridgefield boy who died this summer after his father left him in a hot car all day recently told The Stamford Advocate that the family is coping.

The boy's father, Kyle Seitz , 36, was charged last week with criminally negligent homicide for the death of his infant son, Benjamin , in July.

Seitz’s wife and Benjamin’s mother, Lindsey Rogers-Seitz, told The Stamford Advocate that despite the “non-ending trauma” of the last four months, the family is still close.

Seitz’s wife and two daughters were in seclusion out of state while Seitz appeared in court on the charges against him, which could put him behind bars for up to a year.
