Mass Man Slipped Girlfriend Abortion Pill Disguised As Vitamins: DA A 43-year-old Brookline man is accused of giving his then-pregnant girlfriend an abortion pill but telling her it was a vitamin, causing her to have a miscarriage. authorities said Robert Kawada is charged with poisoning, assault and battery with a dangerous weapon on a pregnant person, and assault and battery on a household or family member, the Middlesex District Attorney said.  Watertown police believe Kawada gave the woman Misoprostol, a drug commonly used to end pregnancies. Man's Body Found In Mass Wastewater Treatment Plant Workers at a Brockton wastewater treatment facility found the body of a man floating in the water Friday morning, May 24, authorities said.  The workers called 911 around 8:15 a.m. when they found the man at the 303 Oak Hill Way plant, the Plymouth District Attorney's Office said. Fire That Killed 1, Displaced 25 In Braintree Under Investigation Authorities are investigating what sparked an apartment fire Thursday night, May 23, that killed one person and displaced 25 others in Braintree.  Firefighters were called to 26 McCusker Drive just before 10:30 p.m. to find smoke pouring out of a first-floor apartment, the state Fire Marshal's Office said.
