RIDGEFIELD, Conn. — A large commercial truck crashed and caught fire on Route 116 on Monday morning just north of Ridgefield High School, shutting down the road and cutting power to the area, according to media reports.
The crash occurred at about 6 a.m. near 790 North Salem Road, the Ridgefield Press said.
No injuries were reported, but emergency crews were busy cleaning up the accident, the News-Times said.
The road was closed from the high school to the New York state line but was due to reopen, the News-Times said.
