Ridgefield's Bordash Named Patriot League Rookie Of The Year

RIDGEFIELD, Conn. -- Ridgefield’s Will Bordash, a freshman at Bucknell University, was named the Patriot League Rookie of the Year after Saturday’s conference championship meet at Bethlehem, Pa.

Bordash was the top freshman in the league championship race. He finished 26th and covered the 8-kilometer course (almost five miles) in 24:57.

Bordash was the fourth runner for Bucknell, which finished second by Navy in team scoring.

Bucknell’s team finish was its best since 2001, when it also finished second. The Bison will be back in action on Nov. 14 at the NCAA Mid-Atlantic Regional at Penn State.
