Students At Ridgefield High Stage Protest 'Die-In'

RIDGEFIELD, Conn. -- About 60 Ridgefield High School students staged a "die-in" protest against the treatment of black Americans by police officers on Monday, Dec. 8, during a lunch period, newstimes.com reported.

The students laid down near the student center for about five minutes to protest the deaths of Eric Gardner and Michael Brown, as well as the subsequent lack of indictments for the police officers who caused their deaths, newstimes.com reported. 

Ridgefield school officials praised the students for being aware of national politics and current events, newstimes.com said.
