RIDGEFIELD, Conn. The 2012-13 school year is underway in Ridgefield, but should it start before Labor Day?
Ridgefield Public Schools opened its doors Wednesday for thousands of students to start the new school year, only three days before the Labor Day weekend.
While some may welcome the idea of an early holiday weekend, others say starting after the last major summer holiday makes more sense as it gives families more time for vacation and to prepare for the new school year.
Tell us what you think. Should Ridgefield Schools reschedule the start of the school year for after Labor Day or should they leave well enough alone? Let us know by leaving a comment below. You also can share your thoughts on our Facebook page or email Alissa Smith .
