RIDGEFIELD, Conn. -- Ridgefield residents will have a chance to meet and speak with Board of Education member Irene Burgess on Monday while enjoying a meal.

Burgess is set to host the first Board of Education Lunch Bunch of the school year from noon to 1 p.m. Sept 23 in the BOE Conference Room in the Town Annex at 66 Prospect St. in Ridgefield, according to the district's website.

"Members of the community are encouraged to join Mrs. Burgess for an overview of how the BOE works, interaction with other Town Boards, timeline for decision making, and creation of the BOE budget," district representatives said on the website.

Lunch Bunch is open to any and all town residents interested in education issues in Ridgefield, representatives said.

Those with questions about the event are asked to contact Karen Sulzinsky, BOE Outreach Committee chair, at 203-431-2800 Ext. 22014.
