Delfina Salvatori, 79, Former Yonkers Resident, Retired Seamstress

PLYMOUTH, Mass. - Delfina Salvatori of Plymouth, formerly of Yonkers, died Friday, Dec. 7. She was 79.

Salvatori was born Jan. 7, 1934, Sorbo, Italy, to Anna and Giuseppe DeGasperis. After marriage she relocated with her husband to Yonkers in 1960. She worked as a seamstress until she retired. She was a member of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church on Park Hill Avenue.

Salvatori is survived by her son, Anthony; three grandchildren; brother, Edmund; many nieces, nephews; and great-nieces and great-nephews. She was predeceased by her parents; husband, Domenico Salvatori; son, Joseph; sisters, Malvina, Rossina, Maria; and brother, Luiggino.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 11 at Mt. Carmel Church, 70 Park Hill Ave., Yonkers. Interment will be in St. Joseph Cemetery, Yonkers.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Heart Association and/or American Lung Association.
