The Party Primaries Are Coming, Ridgefield

RIDGEFIELD, Conn. – There is only one more week until the Aug. 14 primaries and Ridgefield’s ballot looks a little thin.

Voters will have a choice only for a U.S. Senate seat. Republicans will choose between Linda McMahon, co-founder of World Wrestling Entertainment, and former 4th District U.S. Rep. Christopher Shays. Democrats can vote for 5th District U.S. Rep. Christopher Murphy or former Connecticut Secretary of the State Susan Bysiewicz.

Only residents who are registered as Republicans or Democrats are eligible to vote in the primary. Polls will be open from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m.

The polling stations will have voting for both parties. The town has four voting districts, but three polling stations:

  • District One:  East Ridge Middle School
  • District Two: Scotts Ridge Middle School
  • District Three: Town Hall Annex
  • District Four: Scotts Ridge Middle School

Voters who don’t know their polling station can contact the registrars or visit this website .
