The event is set for Oct. 7 at the Conyers Farm estate of Richard and Ellen Schapps Richman, who hosted Obama at a 2010 fundraiser, Hearst said.

The $10,000-per-person fundraiser this fall is for the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee, Hearst reported.

Connecticut does not have a Senate campaign this year. The top race in the statewide is a tight gubernatorial rematch between Democratic incumbent Dannel Malloy and Republican challenger Tom Foley.
