Police: Wilton Man Busted On Drug Charges After DUI Stop On Route 7

WILTON, Conn. – A 26-year-old Wilton man was facing multiple drug charges after police pulled him over for erratic driving early Friday, police said.

Peter Russo, 26, was arrested after officers noticed his car driving over the double yellow line and fog line on Route 7/Ridgefield Road near Center Street at 1:51 a.m. Friday, police said. 

A police search of Russo's car turned up 5 ounces of marijuana packaged for sale, other drug paraphernalia and $960 in cash, police said.

He was charged with marijuana possession, possession of a controlled substance with intent to sell, possession of drug paraphernalia, driving under the influence and failure to keep right

Russo was released on $2,500 bond, with a court date of April 4 in Norwalk Superior Court, police said.
