RIDGEFIELD, Conn. - As part of the annual Click It Or Ticket program, Ridgefield police officers will be out on the road starting Monday, May 20.
Officers will be specifically enforcing the seat belt law from May 20 to June 2.
"With the 2013 Memorial Day holiday travel period fast approaching, we intend to promote safe driving and increase the protection of all motorists," the police department said in a statement.
If an officer stops you when you are not wearing a seat belt in the next two weeks, a citation will be issued, the department said.
"No excuses, buckle up. It's the law. It's enforced," the department said.
