Click It Or Ticket: Ridgefield Police Crack Down On Seat Belt Scofflaws

RIDGEFIELD, Conn. -- With the Thanksgiving weekend approaching, the Ridgefield Police Department has announced the start of a new Click It or Ticket initiative to promote safe driving and increase the protection of all motorists, authorities said.

Ridgefield police will be conducting a seat belt enforcement campaign during the week of Thanksgiving.

In the coming days, law enforcement officials from Ridgefield and departments around the state will be out on the roads enforcing Connecticut's occupant protection laws and issuing citations to those who do not wear their seat belts, according to police.

The increased enforcement effort will take place from Nov. 21-28, police said.
