Investigators from the Greenwich Police Department received a report on Friday, Nov. 16 of a client who threatened a bank employee when he became frustrated over the details of the transaction he was attempting to complete.
Police said that investigators interviewed two employees, and it was determined that Greenwich resident Philip Tedeschi “entered the establishment and became frustrated over the details of a transaction.
While attempting to identify an individual to blame, Tedeschi stated that if he had to come back he wasn’t going to be pointing a finger and that he would be pointing a gun instead.”
Tedeschi also, “stated that it would not be hard to find where one of the employees lived and that he could easily follow the employee home after work.” Tedeschi then left the bank branch “when it became apparent that the situation was not going to be resolved,” police said.
“The incident left both employees feeling concerned and caused alarm amongst the branch.”
Tedeschi was located in the aftermath of the incident and he was arrested. Tedeschi was charged with breach of peace and threatening. He was released on $200 bail and is scheduled to appear in Stamford Superior Court on Friday, Nov. 30.
