RIDGEFIELD, Conn. — Ridgefield could get several more inches of snow overnight, according to a winter storm warning issued by the National Weather Service.
Four to eight inches of snow could be on the ground by morning, and winds could gust as high as 39 mph overnight, the Weather Service says.
"A combination of snow, gusty winds and temperatures around freezing was making travel hazardous," the Weather Service bulletin said. "The combination of wind and snow will bring down trees and power lines resulting in power outages."
At 7:20 p.m., 294 — or 2 percent — of CL&P's customers in Ridgefield had lost power.
