The case was moved because one of the defendants is related to someone working in the courthouse where the trial was first scheduled, the Press said.

Schiavetti, who graduated from Ridgefield High School in 2009 and attended Villanova University in Pennsylvania, was found shot to death in the hallway of a Montclair, N.J., apartment building on July 22, 2012.

Ernest Williams Jr. and James Pitts, both of Montclair, N.J., were charged in the case and are expected to be tried together, according to The Ridgefield Press.

Williams was charged with murder, weapons offenses and robbery, according to Katherine Carter, a spokeswoman for the Essex County prosecutor’s office, who spoke with The Ridgefield Press. Pitts was charged with conspiracy to commit robbery and conspiracy to distribute controlled dangerous substances.
