RIDGEFIELD, Conn. Head down to Main Street on Saturday and join in the festivities at the Ridgefield Chamber of Commerce s Annual Summerfest.
Main Street and Bailey Avenue will become pedestrian walkways with nearly 100 vendors, games and music from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Pop-up art galleries, set up in vacant Main St. storefronts, will offer wine, cheese and the work of local artists.
Local musicians and Beatles-tribute act Sergeant Lefferts Phony Hearts Club Band will perform. Brooklyn-based Roosevelt Dime, a New Orleans-style jug band, will perform a free concert in Ballard Park at 7 p.m.
You also can decorate an Adirondack chair and display along the road for $50. You can either take it home or submit it for a silent auction.
The festivities begin Friday, with music and dancing from the Fred Astaire Dance Studio behind Town Hall.
