RIDGEFIELD, Conn. -- The Ridgefield Recreation Center doesn't have any trouble attracting business, they just have a problem finding spots for all to park, according to the Ridgefield Press.
That's why the center will be expanding its parking by 20 spaces this spring, bringing the number from 234 to 254 parking spots. The permission for the additional parking was granted on Feb. 2 by the Planning and Zoning board. Adding the new parking spaces will involved removing a few trees, but will not encroach on wetland areas, said the Ridgefield Press.
With more than 6,000 members, and another 2,000 members at Founders Hall, added to hundreds of activities offered each week, adding the parking was the center's' top priority for this year, added the Ridgefield Press.
