New Jersey Man Convicted Of Felony Murder In Death Of Ridgefield Native

RIDGEFIELD, Conn. — A 24-year-old New Jersey man has been found guilty in the 2012 shooting death of a Ridgefield man in a New Jersey apartment building, according to NJ.com

Brian Schiavetti, a 21-year-old RIdgefield High graduate, was shot to death in a Montclair apartment building on July 22, 2012.

In a court in Newark, a jury found Williams Jr. guilty on Monday of robbing and fatally shooting Schiavetti after leading him into a township apartment building to buy drugs, according to NJ.com.

Williams was convicted of felony murder, aggravated manslaughter, robbery, weapons offenses and conspiracy to distribute drugs, said NJ.com. He will be sentenced Dec. 14.
