Ridgefield Senior Shows How To Live Life To The Fullest

RIDGEFIELD, Conn. -- Darla Shaw, a 77-year-old senior citizen living in Ridgefield, lets the world see what an exciting life she leads in the premiere episode of "The Wonderful World of Darla."

When she is not teaching as a full-time college professor, Shaw may be playing her kazoo or steel drums, attending her belly dancing class, teaching Alzheimer awareness to middle-school students, or traveling to Bhutan to help underprivileged kids. Those are just a few of her weekly activities.

Her endless energy, desire to learn new things and share this knowledge with others is an inspiration to anyone one at any age. In the episode, Shaw and her husband, Ben, reveal the story behind their passion for music and share the many unique instruments they love to play.
