Children ages 5 to 16 years old can join the Barracuda Swim Team. The program features swim instruction, fun competitive meets and a supportive team environment. New members must swim at Red Cross level 3 or higher or attend tryouts at 7 p.m. Thursday, May 15, at the Recreation Center pool.

Once on the team, swimmers will practice five days a week from June 23 to Aug. 8. Monday through Thursday, participants will swim at Barlow Mountain pool and on Friday they will swim at Martin Park Beach.

Kids ages 6 to 16 years old can sign up for the dive team. Kids in the program can learn front approaches, back presses, basic dives, and drills and advance individually as they master each element. Classes are held on Saturday afternoons from April 26 to May 31 at Barlow Mountain pool.
