RIDGEFIELD, Conn. -- Tuesday's snowstorm has forced recently retired Yankees pitcher Mariano Rivera to postpone his appearance at Ridgefield High School, according to the Ridgefield Press.
His appearance will reportedly be rescheduled. Ridgefield public schools were closed on Tuesday, leading to the postponement.
Proceeds from the event is scheduled to go to Rivera’s church, Refugio de Esperanza, and Tiger Hollow Inc., which will be used to help pay for the lights for Tiger Hollow II, Guido Maiolo Field, at Ridgefield High School. For more information on the event, click here .
