Ridgefield Recreation Center Offering Fencing Classes

RIDGEFIELD, Conn. -- Fencing classes are now being offered at the Ridgefield Recreation Center.

The Ridgefield Recreation Center is now offering fencing classes taught by the Candlewood Fencing Center of Danbury.

Students will be trained by staff from the Danbury-based Candlewood Fencing Center, which has been training fencers in Connecticut for over 30 years.

From beginners to those aspiring to compete at the National and NCAA levels, all are welcome to join the class. 

Sign up for the fall or winter session of fencing by Sept. 19 and save 20 percent. 

Aspiring fencers are invited to attend a free Demo Day on Saturday, Sept. 12, from 9 to 11 a.m. at the Recreation Center, 195 Danbury Road. 

Watch a fencing match and give it a try, too. This event is recommended for people ages 8 or older.
