Ridgefield Paints The Town Purple

RIDGEFIELD, Conn. -- Paint the Town Purple for Alzheimer’s will take place in Ridgefield from Aug. 17 to 21.

Laurel Ridge Health Care Center and Ridgefield Crossings will be decorating the town purple to make people aware of the need for research and funding for Alzheimer’s.

Alzheimer’s is now the nation’s sixth leading cause of death. On Aug. 17th. at the CHIRPS Concert in Ballard Park, representatives from the Connecticut Alzheimer’s Association will be available to talk to people in the gazebo from 7 to 9 p.m.

For more information on this event, call 860-828-2828. Also look for billboards on major highways across the state announcing the Sept. Walks for Alzheimer’s. On these billboards you may see local people that you know who are fighting for a cure, each in their own way.
