Career Transition Workshop Offered For Women In Ridgefield On Sunday

RIDGEFIELD, Conn. -- Ridgefield career counselor Eliza Shanley is set to offer a workshop at 2 p.m. Sunday for women who are considering returning to work or making a career transition.

The free workshop is set for 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday at St. Stephen's Church's North Hall at 351 Main St. in Ridgefield.

Shanley is a founder and managing partner of Women@Work Network, which helps current and returning professional women find full- or part-time work that fits their current life stage, according to a report from The Ridgefield Press .

"Through self-examination, brainstorming, and sharing ideas with other women exploring similar issues, the workshop will provide guidance, support, and practical strategies for setting and achieving goals," according to representatives in the report.

There will be no charge for the program, but donations at the door will be welcomed. Residents are asked to register in advance by emailing Sue McKnight at by Thursday, Sept. 19. Those looking for more information or to register by phone, contact McKnight at 203-431-1489.
