Running Store Celebrates Grand Opening In Ridgefield

RIDGEFIELD, Conn. -- Community and business leaders joined the running community Thursday for the grand opening of the Ridgefield Running Company store.

The store at 88 Danbury Road is owned by Deb Povinelli and Megan Searfoss, both of whom live in Ridgefield and are longtime and enthusiastic runners. The store offers running shoes, apparel, nutrition and medical and safety items for runners. Runners are also invited to join in groups runs from the store.

The grand opening celebration for the store continues through the weekend, with giveaways planned Friday, Saturday and Sunday. There will also be group runs on Saturday morning for runners of all levels.
