The severity of the storm varied across the region. But there was enough rain in Danbury to completely flood Main Street at about 5:30 p.m. And there were power outages reported across the region at 6:20 p.m., including:

  • Bethel: 15 customers without power
  • Darien: 3 customers without power

Showers and thunderstorms could continue into the overnight hours, with the possibility of more rain in the forecast for Tuesday morning before clearing by afternoon.

The storm forced the Trumbull High School graduation indoors, while Danbury High delayed its graduation until Tuesday.

The storm did have the positive impact of breaking the days-long heat and humidity that had blanketed the area.
