RIDGEFIELD, Conn. -- The Ridgefield HIgh School’s girls basketball team won the Masuk Holiday Tournament on Tuesday night with a 75-35 rout of the host team.
Rebecca Lawrence scored 21 points for the winners (6-1), who won their fourth straight game. Meaghan O’Hara added 13 points. Jessica Camarda scored seven points and was named to the all-tournament team along with Lawrence. The 6-foot, 3-inch Lawrence, a junior, recently committed to play basketball at the University of Delaware.
The Tigers’ only loss so far this year came to Wilton (4-1), a team many consider a threat to win the Fairfield County Interscholastic Athletic Conference title.
The surging Tigers host Trinity Catholic on Tuesday and Bridgeport Central on Friday. Both games tip off at 7 p.m. at Ridgefield High School.
