Ridgefield Aquatic Club Set State Record At MIT Invitational

RIDGEFIELD, Conn. -- The Ridgefield Aquatic Club recently set a state record at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology Invitational.

The team of Marcie Maguire, Lindsey Gordon, Paige Bernhardt and Isabelle Seward set a new 2013-14 Connecticut resident record in the 200 Medley Relay with a time of 1:50.00 at the invitational in Boston, Mass.

AJ Bornstein (100 Breast), Isabelle Seward (50 free) Marcie Maguire (500 free and 100 fly), Brian Valedon (400 IM and 1,000 free) Lexo Walker (200 free, 500 free, 100 and 200 fly), Noah Turner (200 breast and 200 fly), Jordan Voves (200 fly), Lily Martin (200 fly) and Lindsey Gordon (50 free) achieved individual sectional qualifying times.

RAC also had several meet champions including the Senior Men's and Women's 800 free relays, the 13-14 girls 200 Medley Relay, the 13-14 girls 200 free relay, Hannah Snyder in the 11-12 50 and 100 fly and 100 back, AJ Bornstein in the 13-14 boys 100 breast and Lindsey Gordon in the 13-14 girls 100 breast.

On the last day of the competition, Marcie Maguire added her second national qualifying time while winning the women's 200 back.
