Mariano Rivera Goes To Bat For Ridgefield High Sports In December

The school is set to host the former New York Yankees closing pitcher at 6 p.m. Dec. 10 at the Ridgefield High School Student Center. Proceeds from the event will go to Rivera’s church, Refugio de Esperanza, and Tiger Hollow Inc., which will be used to help pay for the lights for Tiger Hollow II, Guido Maiolo Field at the high school.

About 300 tickets are available for purchase to the event. Each ticket is $100 and includes a commemorative T-shirt, door prizes and a silent auction. To purchase tickets, residents are asked to contact Angelo Formisano at 914-497-4114 or Carl Charles at 203-894-5750 Ext. 11010.
