Ridgefield Skier Earns Trip To Nationals With Vermont School

FAIRFIELD COUNTY, Conn. -- Skiers from Fairfield County students who attend Stratton Mountain School of Vermont, a ski and snowboard academy based in the heart of the southern Green Mountains, have qualified to represent the school at the Under-16 Nationals in Sugarloaf, Maine.

The competition began Monday. In all, 10 Stratton Mountain School skiers qualified to compete at the U16 Nationals. Four of the skiers are 14-and-under, but will compete in the older age bracket.

Fairfield County skiers who will represent Stratton Mountain School are:

  • Freshman Nina Reichhelm of Westport
  • Sophomore Liam McNamara of Ridgefield
  • Eighth-grader Olivia Holm of Greenwich
  • Seventh-grader Diego Holscher of Riverside
