Ridgefield Schools Reschedule Budget Presentation

RIDGEFIELD, Conn. -- Ridgefield Superintendent Karen Baldwin is scheduled to finally release the budget proposal at a Board of Education meeting on Thursday, Feb. 11, according to the Ridgefield Press.

The meeting will take place in the board's meeting room at the Town Hall Annex on Prospect Street at 7:30 p.m. The first attempt to present the budget on Feb. 8 was postponed due to snow, the Ridgefield Press said.

Education spending makes up 64 percent of the $12 million Ridgefield budget. Superintendent of schools Dr. Karen Baldwin is expected to present her budget request with zero base, the Ridgefield Press reported.
