RIDGEFIELD, Conn. -- The Ridgefield Public Schools will present a "Guide to Balance Night" from 7-8:30 p.m. Wednesday in the Ridgefield High School Student Center.
The event is an interactive, experiential walk-through where the hope is to share positive skills with families to cultivate well-rounded, happy students. This event will feature the Ridegfield Operation for Animal Rescue therapy dogs, yoga demonstrations, mindful coloring stations, essential oil samples and stress-ball making booths, as well as the importance of good nutrition, fitness exhibitions, the power of journaling and much more.
With more than 20 tables, there will be a wide range of demonstrations and experiences targeting stress management and social and emotional wellness.
The event also will feature “The Happy Project” -- a wall of art from elementary students creatively depicting what makes them happy. There will be a station for participants to add their art work. Each table has a theme and will provide attendees with one 8-by-10-inch sheet of paper of tips and tools to use at home.
