RIDGEFIELD, Conn. — A Fulbright scholar and Ridgefield math teacher who spent a year teaching abroad has written a book chronicling her experiences, reports the ridgefieldpress.com.
Ridgefield High School mathematics teacher Monica Housen co-wrote a book entitled “Our International Education: Stories of Living, Teaching, and Parenting Abroad,” says the Press. It was co-written with two other Fulbright scholar/teachers, says ridgefieldpress.com.
Housen taught math in Hungary for a year in 2011, swapping her home and job with a Hungarian educator, according to ridgefieldpress.com.
Her family went with her, and her children went to school in Hungary despite not knowing the language, says ridgefieldpress.com.
