Ridgefield High School Ranks In Top 300 Schools In The Country

RIDGEFIELD, Conn. - Out of 2,000 schools in the nation, the Daily Beast ranked Ridgefield High School at No. 270.

In a recent report, Ridgefield was ranked sixth in the state, below the Connecticut IB Academy, Weston High School, Staples High School, Darien High School and New Canaan High School. 

Only 35 of Connecticut's public, magnet and private schools made the list.

The study was based on six criteria: graduation rate, college acceptance rate, AP/IB/AICE tests taken per student, average SAT/ACT scores, average AP/IB/AICE scores, and percent of students enrolled in at least one AP/IB/AICE course.

According to the report, 96 percent of Ridgefield students graduate and 95 percent continue on to college. The average SAT score is 1,721, the average ACT score is 25.7 and the average AP score is a 4.2.
