RIDGEFIELD, Conn. -- Karen Baldwin, Ridgefield's new Superintendent of Schools, has been meeting with dozens of local officials, school community figures and her new students since she started the job July 1, according to a story in the Ridgefield Press.
Prior to taking the post in Ridgefield, Baldwin was superintendent of schools in Suffield for four years, the story said. She also served as superintendent of the Watertown public schools from 2008-11, the story said.
“The opportunity to build upon the past success and reputation of the Ridgefield Public Schools is one that is very appealing to me,” she wrote in her interview questions, when applying for the job.
