RIDEFIELD, Conn. — With children entering its programs as early as age 2, Ridgefield Academy students quickly become happy members of an engaged learning community.
“Our kids are all in — very few of them just leave promptly at 3 o’clock,” Head of School James Heus said, adding that most of his students participate in after-school activities. “They find reasons to stay and remain engaged in school.”
The school, which is located on a former estate, offers a sprawling 42-acre hillside campus and small classes.
