And Lauper just dropped the price on the home — where she wrote five of her albums — by $350,000, according to an updated listing.

The 3,885-square-foot home had been listed in spring for $1.25 million. But the price has been dropped to $935,000, according to the updated listing. It is listed for sale with Michael B. Leventhal at Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices New England Properties.

The stone French Country Colonial home has three bedrooms and 3.5 bathrooms. Lauper also wrote the Tony Award-winning musical "Kinky Boots" on the property.

The 1.58-acre property includes a pool and a guest house that was formerly used as a music studio by Lauper, who has won Emmy, Tony and Grammy Awards.

The home's interiors were designed by Howard Kaplan, the founder of French Country, featuring hand-stenciled walls and ceilings, as well as 19th-century doors, tiles and fixtures sourced from England and France.

The home was originally built by Vince Camuto, the co-founder of 9 West, in 1975.

The property axes are estimated at $14,924 per year.

Lauper, 64, and her husband, actor Dave Thornton, bought the house about the time her "True Colors" album was released in the 1980s, according to People.com. She used it as a getaway for writing music, People.com said.

They are now living primarily in Manhattan.

Lauper toured this summer with Rod Stewart, and in May released "Detour," an album of country music. It was her 11th studio album.
