The bomb threat first came in around 1 p.m., in the area of Boston Avenue and Palisades Avenue near St. Ambrose Church, the Connecticut Post reported. The threat prompted police to evacuate one building and close off the area, according to the Connecticut Post.
Three schools -- Harding High School, Hall School and Edison School -- were placed on "lock out, lock in" mode shortly after the threat was received, the Connecticut Post reported. Harding was upgraded to a lockdown mode, and police were stationed there, according to the Connecticut Post.
Police and firefighters are on the scene, and state police have been called in, the Connecticut Post reported. Police are telling all people to stay away from the area until they have made sure it is safe, the Connecticut Post reported.
