Anthony J. Maglio, 71, Of South Hackensack

SOUTH HACKENSACK, N.J. – Anthony J. Maglio, a resident of South Hackensack, died Monday, April 4. He was 71.

He was born and raised in Hackensack, to parents Fred and Faye Maglio.

He was in the Army Reserves and worked at the Bergen Record for 36 years, then for the Journal News before retiring.

He is survived by his wife Jean; children Michele and Jeff Calendrillo, Anthony and Alicia Maglio, and Michael and Kate Maglio; grandchildren Evan, Ryan, Michael, Matthew and Jake’ sister Patricia Maglio; mother-in-law Mickey Squillace; sister-in-laws Angela Narducci and Rosemarie and her husband Tom Fojtlin; along with nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his parents; father-in-law Carmen Squillace and brother-in-law Robert Narducci.

The funeral will be at 10:45 a.m. from the funerral home. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, April 9, at noon, St. Francis R.C. Church, 50 Lodi St., Hackensack. A private cremation will follow. Visitation will be held on Friday, April 8 from 1-3 and 6-9 p.m.
