“Both victims were assaulted several years ago but only recently reported [the incidents] to law enforcement,” Bergen County Prosecutor John L. Molinelli said.
The woman was molested in Rochelle Park and the juvenile in Palisades Park. The incident involving the pre-teen is the legal equivalent of rape because of her age, Molinelli told CLIFFVIEWPILOT.COM.
Angelo Wedra of Palisades Park, who is married and unemployed, is being held on $350,000 bail in the Bergen County Jail, charged with aggravated sexual assault, sexual assault and child endangerment. Molinelli thanked the police chiefs in both Palisades Park and Rochelle Park for their work on the case.
