Daphne Dixon, president of Live Green CT!, presented a certificate of appreciation to Marconi and six other Fairfield County municipal officials who are piloting a statewide program that forges new "green" connections among cities, towns, business communities and the general public.

The other towns involved in the program are Bridgeport, Fairfield, Norwalk, Stamford, Westport and Wilton.

Ridgefield is one of seven Connecticut towns selected to be a part of the program. A case study on Ridgefield's single-stream recycling program appears on the new www.LiveGreenCT.org website.
