RIDGEFIELD, Conn. -- A seat has opened on the Ridgefield Board of Finance the night before the yearly budget season begins, according to the Ridgefield Press.

The vacancy is the result of board member Jill Bornstein moving towns for family reasons, the Ridgefield Press reported. Republican Town Committee Chairman Joe Savino announced on Feb. 3 that the committee will endorse Michael Raduazzo, a former school board member who ran for finance board in November, for the vacant seat, according to the Ridgefield Press.

The vacancy was publicized in a legal advertisement in the Ridgefield Press on Feb. 4. and says the board will interview any interested Republican registered voters at a special meeting on Feb. 16, according to the the Ridgefield Press. The meeting will be held between 7 and 7:30 p.m. in the lower conference room at Town Hall, 400 Main St.
