RIDGEFIELD, Conn. – A new plan to create a neighborhood business zone near the intersection of routes 7 and 35 in Ridgefield is being proposed, according to the Ridgefield Press.

A proposed neighborhood business zone in northeast Ridgefield would run along Route 7 to the Route 35 intersection.

The proposed retail zone would cover six properties and five acres, the Ridgefield Press said.

A similar, much larger proposal covering 35 properties and 57 acres was opposed by retailers and residents alike and finally thrown out by a judge last March, reported the Ridgefield Press.

The proposal likely will have a public meeting with the Planning and Zoning Commission sometime next month, the Ridgefield Press said.
