Matthew Mills, a self-proclaimed "truther," was charged with interfering with police and second-degree breach of peace after disrupting the Vicki Soto 5K Race on Saturday, the Post reported.

Soto, who was killed in the attack on Sandy Hook Elementary School in December 2012, has been hailed as a hero for taking steps to protect her class of first-graders.

According to the report, Mills, 32, of Brooklyn, N.Y., approached Soto's young sister, shoving a photograph in her face while denying that the slain teacher ever existed.
