WILTON, Conn. — A 16-year-old Wilton driver accidentally pinned his mother against a garage when trying to back out of the driveway on Monday, according to the Hour.

Police told the Hour that at around 8 a.m. the teen was trying to back out of the driveway on Mountain Road when he accidentally put the car in drive instead of reverse. His car went forward and pinned his 55-year-old mother against the wall of the garage, the Hour reported.

The mother was taken to the hospital, where she was treated for injuries that were described as serious but non life-threatening, the Hour reported. The son was not cited, according to the Hour.
